The aluminum case and all aluminum brackets are treated by an anodizing process for corrosion protection and a long lasting uniform finish. The rear portion of chassis is black anodized. The faceplate and buttons can be either black or silver.

The one-piece rack mount faceplate incorporates rack mounting into the faceplate for a seamless look. The overall width of the faceplate is 19". Oval mounting holes are centered at 18.312". Faceplate height is 3.50" (2U).

The standard hard drive installed is the Seagate Momentus 7200 RPM 2.5" drive. We also have the Seagate 5400 RPM drive and the new WD Scorpio Blue 5200 RPM drive with a 1TB capacity. These optional low RPM 2.5" drives run very quietly.

We also offer larger 3.5" hard drives as an option. The low power Seagate Barracuda LP 5900 RPM drives are a good choice for increased capacity and run fairly quiet. The Seagate ES.2 and XT 7200 RPM drives offer more performance at the cost of more noise and heat.

For total silence and extreme speed, a solid state drive (SSD) is the way to go. SSD prices have come way down lately making them a viable choice for your system. System boot-up time is typically 15 seconds and programs launch in the blink of an eye. The most noticeable performance increase for the cost.

Select Dual drives for additional storage. With dual drives, we install the operating system and programs on the SSD and set-up the second HDD for data and media storage. We only recommend running a single 3.5" drive, but we can combine it with a 2.5" drive for the primary in a dual drive configuration.

Our complete systems come pre-installed with the latest operating systems from Microsoft. Now enjoy the benefits of the long awaited Windows 7. Choose between the Home Premium or the Ultimate version. Both versions have built-in Media Center capabilities for watching movies, playing music, and more. Windows 7 now includes integrated video and Dolby audio codec's to simplify set-up.
