Slim-line Slot-load

Slim-line, Slot-loading drive slot

Faceplate is machined to fit a standard slim-line slot-load drive. This type of drive takes up less space inside the case and allows for larger CPU coolers. Includes drive mounting brackets and hardware.

The aluminum case and all aluminum brackets are treated by an anodizing process for corrosion protection and a long lasting uniform finish. The rear portion of chassis is black anodized. The faceplate and buttons can be either black or silver.

Faceplate Logo Graphics

The Faceplate can include custom graphics and lettering during the anodizing process. Graphics can include company logo, button labels, system specs, and warning labels. Artwork to be provided by customer. Artwork should be in a vector format for best results. Preferred file format is PDF or Adobe Illustrator.

Approximate minimum pricing per job:

Single color artwork ($150)
Two color artwork ($200)

Rack Mounting

Rackmount Faceplate

Case can be provided with a one-piece 19" faceplate for rack mounting. This plate is 7.0" tall (4U) and 19" wide. The 7.0" faceplate extends above and below the 6.50" chassis by 0.25". Slotted and recessed holes are machined to accommodate rack mounting screws.

Touch Screen Mounting	Touch Screen Mounting
Faceplate is machined with a cutout to fit a Xenarc 700TS LCD Touch Screen. The display can be used for operator input, previewing movies, or as a windows desktop. An infrared remote is included to turn the display on/off and control brightness, contrast, and display position settings. Touch screen display not included, purchase separately below. Xenarc Touch Screen Display

Xenarc Touch Screen Display

A-Tech Fabrication is now authorized by Xenarc to install their touch screen displays into our cases. The display will have the full warranty from Xenarc. It will also include a special power cable to allow you to connect it to the power supply inside the case. The case will be shipped with the display installed into the faceplate. You must also purchase the touch screen mounting option above.

VFD or LCD Mounting

Faceplate is machined with a cutout to fit a Matrix Orbital 4x20 display. Can be used with or without tinted filters. The blue filter looks nice with our blue LED option. Includes mounting hardware and spacers. Programming using Girder or similar apps is required for device to function. VFD Display and filter not included.

IR Receiver

Faceplate is machined with a very small sensor opening for a infrared receiver. Two types of IR receivers are available.

The CIR receiver works well with Intel motherboards that include a 2x4 CIR header, some other MB's may also include this header. The CIR has a 5V stand-by power circuit which allows the system to be powered up and down depending on the remote control and how the power button functions.

The USB receiver attaches to a USB 2.0 header on the MB. Works with all MB's. Since the USB port powers down with MB, this sensor will only allow sleep mode.

Includes IR receiver and internal cable. Both IR receivers work with Windows 7+8, no drivers are required.

IR Remote Control

This Windows Media Center remote control works with both IR receivers. It has all the basic Media Center control buttons and is compatible with Windows 7+8, no drivers are required.

USB Port

USB 2.0 Port

Face plate is machined with cutout to fit a USB 2.0 port adapter. Internal cable plugs into the USB header on your motherboard. Standard port location is in the lower right corner. We can also add more ports if needed, please contact us for more information.

NOTE: When combined with the PowerMate option, the location of the USB port will be in the space between the reset button and the DVD control buttons.

DVD Push Button Controls	DVD Push Button Controls
Face plate is machined with cutouts to fit five custom machined push buttons. These buttons can be programmed to control software such as a DVD player. Button assembly comes pre-wired with header connector. This connector plugs into the keypad input connector on a Matrix Orbital VFD display (order separately above). Programming using Girder or similar apps is required for device to function. Note: DVD Push Button Controls cannot be combined Touch Screen option. This option must be combined with the VFD option above.

PowerMate Control Knob Mounting

Face plate is machined with a special cutout and mount to fit a Griffin Technology PowerMate controller and input device. This knob can be programmed for a number of tasks such as volume control and scrolling through menus. PowerMate knob not included.

Note: Griffin is not currently selling the knob in black. See the case accessories section below for our re-finishing service for black PowerMate knobs.

CPU HeatSync® System

Silent, solid-state cooling system for processor. No moving parts to maintain or fail which ensures reliable operation for years. CPU base is precision machined from solid copper for optimum heat transfer from processor chip. Heat-treated and anodized aluminum clamping plates transfer heat to the heatpipes. Heatpipes are custom formed to match your processor socket and motherboard. Wide thermal clamping plates conduct heat into the case.

Note: Heat capacity is determined by the size of the case and the temperature of ambient air around case. The cooling system itself can handle far more heat then the case can dissipate. In ideal room environments with plenty of space around the case, maximum CPU size is 120 watts, we recommended 95 watts for most conditions. If using a fanless power supply use a 65-77w CPU.

These cases are custom made to your order. You may add additional options after work on your case has begun, however some changes may affect shipping time. If there is a custom option you would like to have that is not listed above, please contact us for a special quote. Options can also be added to your case at a later date, you only pay for the option plus a small refinishing fee.

Slim-line SATA Cable - 18"
This cable is used on slim-line SATA DVD and Blu-ray drives. One end has a special connector to fit the drive, the other end has a standard SATA connector and 5 volt 4-pin Molex connector. 18" long. $12.00

Slim-line DVD Power Extension Cable
Due to the design of the door mounted DVD drive, a longer power cable may be needed. This cable is 14" long and has a 4-pin 5.25" power supply connector on one end and a floppy drive connector on the other. The floppy drive connector is used with most slim-line IDE adapters. $7.50

PowerMate Knob Re-Finishing

Years ago, the Griffin Technology PowerMate was only available in silver. At that time we offered re-finishing of the knobs in black. Then Griffin started selling them in black. As of 2008, they are only available in silver and we our offering our re-finishing service again.
